Italy
Recently Tyler and I had the immense pleasure of joining my brother, Teddy, and sister-in-law for a joint anniversary trip in Italy. What a romantic country!
Our first night we spent walking around Venice. As we twisted around the streets live music created a magical soundtrack to the night air. Moonlight glinted off the canals as we crossed over Venice’s many bridges. Gondolas silently drifted over the water’s surface. I’m in love! With both the city and my dashing husband.
Cinque Terre was our next destination. There we discovered the “real” Italy that we were in search of. We stayed at a rustic Bed and Breakfast built in the 1700’s. The sound of a nearby waterfall and the sweet scent of the countryside greeted us as we arrived. The “village” in which it was situated consisted of 14 residents at its peak. The view from our rooms overlooked snow capped mountains and green valleys below. We had arrived in paradise!
